What happens to the names, wish and photo you put on a card.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
- Your card is made inside your own browser. Names, wishes and photos are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- No account, no cookies and no advertising. Visits, and how many cards get made, are counted anonymously (see “Anonymous counts” below).
- The card only leaves your device when you download it or share it yourself. The count never includes the card, only which built-in design was used.
Who is responsible
MSRX Diwali Cards is run by Mrinal Singh Raja, an individual, publishing under the name “MSRX”. MSRX is a brand name, not a registered company. Questions and requests reach us at mrinalsinghraja@gmail.com.
What you type and add
| What | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Who the card is for | Held in your browser’s memory while the page is open, drawn onto the card there, and gone when you close or reload the tab. Never sent to a server. |
| Your name | |
| Your wish | |
| Your photo | Read from your device by your browser and drawn onto the card there. It is not uploaded, not stored and not seen by us. |
| Card and language you chose | Written into the page address after the # (for example #rangoli/hi) so a link reopens the same design. Browsers do not send this part of the address to the server. Names, wishes and photos are never put in the address. |
Nothing is saved on your device either: the studio uses no cookies, local storage or similar. If you reload the page, your names and wish are gone.
When you download or share
- Download (PNG, JPG or PDF) saves the finished card to your device. What happens to it after that is up to you.
- Share on a phone opens your phone’s own share menu with the card image. The app you choose there, such as WhatsApp, receives the image and handles it under its own privacy policy.
- WhatsApp on a computer saves the card to your downloads and opens WhatsApp Web with the text “Happy Diwali! 🪔” ready to send. Only that text is in the link; you attach the card yourself.
What the website itself receives
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel receives your IP address and basic browser details when your device asks for the page, the card artwork and the fonts, because it needs them to deliver those files. Vercel may keep these in short-lived server logs for running and securing the service. We do not use them to identify you.
Every file the studio needs, including fonts and the PDF library, is served from diwali.msrx.co.in itself. The page contacts no ad network, no font service and no other third party. The only exceptions are Vercel’s own anonymous counting, described next, and the WhatsApp link on a computer, which opens WhatsApp’s site when you click it.
Anonymous counts
We count two things, so we know whether the studio is used: how many people open it, and how many cards get made.
Visits. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is part of the service that hosts this site. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page address, the site that linked you here, an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from the request, and your browser, operating system and type of device. Anything after a ? or # in the address is removed before the count is sent, so the design and language you picked are not part of it.
It does not store your IP address. Visitors are told apart only by a hash of the request that Vercel discards after 24 hours, so a page view cannot be tied to you, to your other visits, or to what you do on other websites.
Cards made. When you download a card, or send it with WhatsApp or the share button, the page records one more anonymous count under a made-up address such as /created/png, which says only the way the card left the page: PNG, JPG, PDF, WhatsApp or share. It also records one count under the name of the built-in design, such as /card/classic, so we can see which designs people like and which nobody uses. It does not send the card, the names, the wish, your photo, or the language you picked. It is a total, not a list of people.
On this plan Vercel shows these figures for a month and may keep them longer, and we copy the daily totals into a private dashboard. Neither describes any individual, and we do not show the numbers on this site. We count because knowing whether the studio is used is in our legitimate interest, and the count is built so that it cannot identify you. A content blocker, or turning JavaScript off, stops the count and changes nothing else about the studio.
Photos of other people, and of children
If you add a photo of someone else, make sure they, or a parent for a child, are happy for it to be on a card you send. We never receive the photo, so this choice is entirely yours.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask what personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or erased. Because the studio never sends your names, wishes or photos to us, we hold none of them. If you think otherwise, or have any privacy concern, write to our grievance contact below and we will reply within 30 days.

Changes
If the studio ever starts sending anything off your device, this page will say so before it happens and the date above will change.
